Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 2026
This Privacy Policy applies to both the Clotherly website (clotherly.com) and the Clotherly mobile app. At Clotherly, we are committed to protecting your privacy.
1. Information We Collect
Website and App
We collect anonymous usage data via Firebase Analytics, including pages visited, search queries, and product clicks. This data cannot be used to identify you personally. We also collect anonymised search and click data (search terms, garment types, colours, price ranges, brands viewed) to understand fashion trends. This data may be shared with fashion brands in aggregated, anonymised form only — individual users are never identifiable in shared reports.
When you visit a brand's website via an affiliate link on clotherly.com or in the app, we may earn a commission. The brand's website has its own privacy policy and may set cookies on your device.
Mobile App Only
If you use the Clotherly mobile app, we may also collect:
- Email address — when you create an account or sign in
- Authentication credentials — via Google or Facebook sign-in
- Device location — only when you grant permission, used solely to find nearby shopping centres. Location data is not stored on our servers or shared with third parties.
- Push notification token — only when you grant permission, used to send deal alerts
- Device information — device model, brand, operating system version, app version, and an anonymous installation identifier, used to improve the service
Search history in the app is stored locally on your device only and is not transmitted to our servers. We do not collect your name, payment card details, or any personally identifiable information beyond what is listed above.

4. Data Storage & Retention
Your account data is stored securely using Google Firebase (USA). Analytics data is stored using Google Firestore. Account and favourites data is retained while your account is active. Anonymised analytics data may be retained for up to 2 years. You may request full deletion at any time.
